Yukon was found as a stray.  He was timid at first but quickly warmed up when staff and volunteers spent time with him and gave him treats.  As you can see from his before picture, he had a huge mass on his back leg.  It didn’t seem to cause him pain, but it needed to be removed as soon as possible. Yukon was posted for urgent rescue, and move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help a rescue cover the surgery cost.  Canine Castaways stepped up to save this boy.  He is doing well and recovering from his surgery.  He must feel so much better to have that huge tumor removed!  Thank you to those of you who have supported our Moore Life Medical Fund and made it possible for us to be a part of saving Yukon.  If you would like to help us save the most at-risk animals in Indianapolis, please visit http://www.movetoact.org/donate.php to make a donation.
