Tia

Tia

Before

Tia was a stray found after being hit by car with a male dog, also a German Shepherd. The male dog was not injured but was protective of Tia. She was taken to IACS where an initial evaluation revealed catastrophic injuries to her pelvis/hip area. She had 4 fractures and needed extensive surgery on both sides of her pelvis. Dianna, founder and president of HB4P, was there picking up another dog for our rescue when she was asked about this girl. We agreed to pull Tia into our rescue.

During the course of her evaluation and treatment, it was determined that Tia had lived a bit of a rough life. Her coat was in poor condition. She was underweight. She is a young German Shepherd, about a year and a half. One of her injuries appeared to be an older injury that was not treated. With all of her pain and all that she has been through, Tia is a very sweet girl. This is the exact kind of dog that Heartbeat4paws loves to help and rehabilitate. We will find her a home where she will be a cherished family member.
