Tinsel

Before

Tinsel came to the shelter as a stray puppy before Christmas. She had severe ear infections, so she was given ear meds and placed on the rescue only list in the hope a rescue would have an available foster. Sadly, no one had room, and Tinsel spent her first Christmas in the shelter. Eventually, her ears got better, and she was placed on the adoption floor. Three months went by, and no one had chosen Tinsel. The poor girl had so much pent-up energy, she had become a little mouthy and difficult to handle. Medical staff also discovered she had a luxating patella, and she was still battling ear infections on and off, so she was placed back on the rescue only list. Still, no rescue stepped up for Tinsel, and she was given a “must have rescue by” date. move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help this beautiful, overlooked girl. It just seemed poor Tinsel couldn’t catch a break. Finally, her luck changed, and a Tails and Trails foster stepped up to rescue her! Tinsel is doing well in foster and is getting along well with her doggy foster siblings. A vet visit revealed she has two luxating patellae. She will be going through surgery shortly to correct this, so she can live a pain-free life!
