Indianapolis Animal Care Services received a report of someone dumping a pig by the side of the road. One of the officers went out and was able to catch him. The little pig was wearing a red harness and likely had been a house pet. He wanted and craved attention and being alone in the barn at the shelter made him sad and anxious. He was named Piggie Smalls and posted for urgent rescue. move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help with the cost of his neuter. There are no low-cost spay/neuter options for pigs, so the surgery can be expensive. Fortunately, Red Sky Rescue had a spot and rescued this little guy quickly! He has now been neutered and is doing well. They say he loves everyone! His new name is Razor. Thank you to those of you who have supported our Moore Life Medical Fund and were a part of helping this little guy get to rescue quickly!
