Sophie was at the shelter when she began having issues with her rear limbs. Within hours, she was unable to walk. She did have feeling in her legs, but she needed further diagnostics ASAP! She was posted with a “must have rescue by” date for the end of the day. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund because we knew her care could be costly for a rescue. We hoped to give her the best chance possible. Luckily, Our Lil’ Bit of Heaven found a foster and rescued Sophie. The vet determined Sophie is paralyzed in her back end. Our Lil’ Bit of Heaven is planning to get her a doggy wheelchair to help her get around, and her foster has decided to keep her! She is currently receiving acupuncture treatments to help with her back legs, which still do have some feeling in them. In spite of her condition, Sophie is a happy dog, and we are glad she not only found rescue but also a loving forever home!
