Savy was brought to the shelter after being hit by a car. His left front leg was so severely mangled, he was sent for an immediate amputation. He seemed to be doing well, but about a week later, the staff came in to find he was bleeding out! One of the vet techs managed to rush him to the emergency vet. They were able to stop the bleeding and give him a blood transfusion. The next day, his red blood cell count had dropped and was dangerously low. He would likely need another transfusion and more medical care than the shelter could provide. He was posted as must have rescue by the end of the day. move to Act quickly made a pledge from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help a rescue afford his care. Fortunately, Last Call K9s jumped up to help and got Savy the care he needed. Today, he is a happy, healthy boy who, as you can see from his after video, is doing just fine on three legs! He has already been adopted! We could not help dogs like Savy without donations. If you would like to support our Moore Life Medical Fund, please visit http://www.movetoact.
