Sam was found on a porch, and Indianapolis Animal Care Services was called to help. He was not friendly when the Animal Control Officer arrived, but once at the shelter, he did warm up to a few staff members. Poor Sam was stressed in the shelter and not friendly with everyone, so he was placed on rescue only. He waited with no interest for a few weeks before he was given a “must have rescue by” date. Indy’s Voice for Animals pledged from our Last Chance Fund in the hope a pledge would give him a better chance at finding rescue. Fortunately, Animal House Sanctuary made room for this boy and rescued him! They have had no issues with him outside the shelter. He has been a good boy and enjoys play group with other dogs. They did learn Sam has a bad case of heart worms, so our pledge will definitely help to pay for the treatment. Thank you to those who have donated and supported our Last Chance Fund! We could not be a part of saving animals like Sam without your help. If you would like to make a contribution, please visit https://indysvoice4animals.org/wp-admin/
