Ross is a sweet guy who passed his temp test and made it to the adoption floor at IACS. He did well with other dogs and even knows how to sit. Sadly, he waited and waited, but no one adopted him. Eventually, poor Ross got stir crazy and became jumpy and mouthy. He was pulled from the adoption floor and placed on rescue only. Ross was heartworm positive, so move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help a rescue with the cost of his heartworm treatment. The shelter has a foundation to pay for treatment of adoptable dogs when they are adopted, but now that Ross was rescue only, the rescue would have to cover the cost. Ross waited on the rescue list for quite some time and was given a “must have rescue by” date. Thankfully, in the nick of time, Canine Castaways found a foster and rescued him! He has begun his heartworm treatment and is doing well in foster. We couldn’t help dogs like Ross without your support! Thank you!
