Rexah

Before

Rexah was taken from an abusive situation by the person who surrendered her to the shelter. The person had intended to rehabilitate and rehome her, but her fear and anxiety were severe. She also developed a mass on her eye, which the vet suspected to be iris melanoma. The cost of treatment combined with the behavior issues prompted the person to surrender her. As you can see from her before picture, Rexah was terrified. When a person came to her kennel door, she seemed to want to visit but was just too scared. She was placed on the rescue only list in hopes of finding an experienced foster who could work on her fear issues and also get treatment for her eye. Poor Rexah sat waiting for two to three weeks before she was given a "must have rescue by" date. In that time, the staff visited her and were able to get her out of her kennel. She eventually started to come to the kennel door to greet everyone. Rexah was making progress, but she needed a rescue fast! Move to Act made a pledge from our Last Chance Fund to help. We couldn’t stand to see Rexah’s progress be for nothing. Fortunately, Cherished Life Rescue agreed and rescued her! She is now on medication to help ease the anxiety and has begun training. The issue with her eye may just be pigmentation, but they are monitoring closely to be certain. Her foster has discovered she loves car rides, and Rexah is already bonding with her! Thank you for helping us give Rexah another chance by supporting our Last Chance Fund!
