Queen was 11 years old when she found herself at the shelter because her owner went to jail. She was on the adoption floor but was having difficulty getting up and about. X-rays revealed bilateral hip dysplasia and generalized arthritis. Poor Queen was also heartworm positive. She was placed on rescue only, and shelter staff put her in the front office, so she wouldn’t get quite as stiff just lying in a kennel. She was friendly to all she met and quickly become a favorite at the shelter. Indy’s Voice for Animals pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help a rescue pay for her vet costs. Liberty Acres stepped up and rescued this senior lady! They started her on thyroid and pain medication, and she is doing very well. Thank you for supporting our Moore Life Medical Fund.
