Pumbaa is a big, strong, happy boy who was a favorite at the shelter. He was on the adoption floor but didn’t do well when meeting potential adopters’ dogs. He was eventually adopted to a person with no other dogs. Sadly, Pumbaa killed her grandmother’s cat, so he was returned to the shelter. Pumbaa was placed on rescue only in the hope a rescue could help him find the right home. He waited for weeks until he was given a “must have rescue by” date. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help a rescue pay for his care. Many rescues are full, and many fosters have other pets, so finding a spot for Pumbaa would be a challenge. Fortunately, a foster stepped up, and Four Legged Ranch jumped into action to work through their approval process for new fosters. Pumbaa was rescued and is doing great in his foster home.
