Princeton

Before

Princeton was very scared when he was surrendered to the shelter by his owner with some very painful-looking eyes.  In a few days, he settled in and would happily come to the front of his cage for affection.  The shelter medical staff determined Princeton had a corneal ulcer, conjunctiva, and his third eyelid appeared adhered to his cornea from chronic ulcerations.  Sadly, he would likely need at least one eye removed, if not both.  He was placed on rescue only in the hope a rescue could provide further medical care.  move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund for this sweet boy.  Rescues often must carry a balance with their vet, so taking on additional medical cases can present a challenge, if funding is not available.  Soon after we pledged, Animal Outreach of Shelby County stepped up and rescued Princeton!  He has since had surgery to help his eyes.  The surgeon removed the scar tissue and broke up the adhesions.  While his vision is impaired, both eyes were able to be saved!  Thank you for supporting our Moore Life Medical Fund.  Our donors make it possible for us to continue to write these happy stories.  If you would like to be a part of our life-saving work, please visit http://www.movetoact.org/donate.php to make a donation.
