Maddie

Before

Maddie came to the shelter as a stray. Shelter staff guessed her to be around 10 years old. She had an open mass on her back, and her ears looked like they had been infected for some time. Despite the fact she must have been in pain, she was gentle, laid-back, and loved affection. She received medication for her ear infection, but the shelter did not have the resources to remove the mass on her back. Maddie was placed on “rescue only” in the hope a rescue could help. After a few weeks, no one had stepped up, and she was given a “must have rescue by” date. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help with the cost of the mass removal. Fortunately, A Heart for Animals saved Maddie! They found she actually had several masses. All have been removed, and Maddie has recovered nicely. The best news is, the masses were just infected cysts and not malignant! Thank you for supporting the Last Chance Fund and helping to get Maddie the care she needed!
