Lady

Before

Lady was 13 years old when her owner surrendered her to the shelter due to having no time for her.  He said she was great with kids and people but wasn’t good with other animals.  We discovered that to be true, as she growled when meeting another dog.  She was also overwhelmed and stressed at the shelter, so she was placed on rescue only in the hope of finding quick rescue.  Lady is a wonderful, loving dog who wanted nothing more than to sit next to someone and be petted.  She loves treats and knows basic commands. Sadly, it can be difficult to find fosters for a dog with dog issues.  Lady waited over a month for rescue and was given a “must have rescue by” date.  move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund, as seniors often need a little extra vet care.  We hoped our pledge would help Lady find a rescue.  On her last day, a foster finally stepped up!  Last Call K9s rescued her, and she is doing very well in her foster home!  Thank you to those of you who have supported our Last Chance Fund and helped Lady find a spot in rescue!  If you would like to make a donation and help us save more animals, please visit http://www.movetoact.org/donate.php
