Katniss was only around a year old when someone called Indianapolis Animal Care Services and said Katniss would not allow him out of his house. He was armed and going to shoot her, if an officer did not come right away! Of course, an officer went and picked her up. She was friendly and wonderful to everyone at the shelter. Medical staff discovered she had a prolapsed rectum, so they stitched it in hopes it would heal. Sadly, it prolapsed again, so Katniss was placed on urgent rescue. She was going to need more care than the shelter could provide. move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help a rescue afford her care. Fortunately, Cry For Help had a foster willing to help. Katniss is healing in her foster home and doing well!
