Joplin is a sweet, easy-going boy who loves attention! He was put on rescue-only due to his age (10 years) and the fact he didn’t do well with other dogs on his first temp test. He eventually did settle a little in the shelter and did fine with the other dog the second time he was tested. The shelter staff and volunteers had high hopes he would go to the adoption floor, but the vet discovered he had hip dysplasia and would need Rimadyl for the rest of his life. Poor Joplin sat on the rescue list and was finally given an urgent date. move to ACT made a pledge from our Last Chance Fund in hopes it would enable a rescue to take on his care. Ruts Rescue came through in the nick of time and saved this sweet senior! As you can see from his after picture, he is resting comfortably and is well-loved in his foster-to-adopt home.
