Horatio was just pitiful when he arrived at the shelter after being found on someone’s porch. He had likely been hit by a car and was bleeding from his mouth. He was posted for rescue and Animal Outreach of Shelby County quickly stepped up to help! They picked him up less than an hour after he was posted! A portion of his jaw had been degloved, and he has several jaw fractures. The degloving injury has been repaired, but he will need a veterinary dental surgeon to repair the fractures. Indy’s Voice for Animals (move to Act) pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to help with the cost. Horatio, now named Hawkeye, is scheduled for surgery on Monday, April 1st. Thank you to those of you who support our Moore Life Medical Fund! We are very happy you have made it possible to help Horatio!
