Hayley was 10 or 11 years old when she was surrendered to the shelter by her owner. She had dry, flaky skin, eye issues, and almost no teeth. She was placed on the rescue only list due to these issues. Hayley is a laid-back, fun, goofy girl who loves getting back scratches and playing with tennis balls. Everyone thought she would be rescued quickly. Unfortunately, she didn’t do well when meeting another dog at the shelter, which makes it difficult to find a rescue. Hayley waited on the rescue list for two to three weeks and was given a "must have rescue by" date. Move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund. We hoped easing the financial burden of her care would encourage more rescues to consider taking her in. Ruts Rescue found a foster and stepped up and saved Hayley!
