Felix was around two years old when he came to the shelter as a stray. No owner came to claim him, so he was evaluated for the adoption floor. Unfortunately, he did not pass his food bowl test and was guarding of toys, so he could not go to the adoption floor. He was also a little jumpy and energetic and needed some training. Felix is a silly, goofy guy who is playful and engaging with other dogs, so he was placed on the rescue list in the hope a rescue would step up to help him get the training he needs and find the right home. Poor Felix waited over a month with no interest. In that time, he got stir crazy at the shelter and exhibited signs of stress. He was given a “must have rescue by” date. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund to give Felix a better chance at finding rescue, and it worked! SOS Rescue stepped up and saved him! He is doing well in rescue and learning how to walk nicely on his leash. Thank you for supporting our Last Chance Fund and helping us to help dogs like Felix.
