Poor Edith arrived at the shelter as a stray with many medical issues. Shelter staff guessed she was around 12 years old. Her ears were so infected that they were inflamed, oozing, and terribly damaged; it was fortunate she had not lost her hearing! She had yeasty skin which made her itchy and very uncomfortable, and her teeth were in really bad shape. In spite of all that, she loved affection and patiently tolerated handling and the poking and prodding of her medical exam. Due to her medical issues, she was placed on the rescue-only list. move to ACT pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund to offset the financial burden a rescue would incur for her care. Mended Hearts came to her rescue and found her a permanent foster under their “Friends of Gladys” program that provides ongoing care for senior dogs. Edith finally received the care she so desperately needed and has a comfortable, loving home where she can relax! Thank you for supporting the Moore Life Medical Fund!
