Little Diamond was only 13 weeks old when she was surrendered to the shelter. She was very sick and tested positive for parvo. The shelter posted for immediate rescue, and move to Act pledged from our Moore Life Medical Fund right away to help a rescue pay for her care. Parvo can easily cost thousands of dollars to treat, as many dogs must be hospitalized and receive supportive care for several days. Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coalition stepped up quickly, and Diamond was taken straight to the vet. Sadly, Diamond did not make it. She fought as hard as her little body would allow, but parvo is so hard on these babies. We are all heartbroken but grateful for the chance and care Diamond was given.
Thank you to those of you who support our Moore Life Medical Fund. I believe this is the first sad story we have had to write. We never know what the outcome of a medical case will be. We see the need for assistance, and we pledge. move to Act believes each animal deserves a fighting chance. If you would like to help us ensure that happens, please visit https:// indysvoice4animals.org/ to make a donation.
