Daria was brought to the shelter with several other scared/feral dogs. Her behavior at first was not very safe, so shelter staff waited to seek rescue. She was trying to bite through the cage, and they could not get near her. After a few days, she was doing a little better, and a staff member was able to touch her. The decision was made to seek an experienced rescuer who could help her become comfortable with people. Daria was eventually given a “must have rescue by” date, and Indy’s Voice for Animals pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help. She will likely be in rescue quite some time before she is ready to be adopted, so we wanted to help with the cost of her care. Fortunately, a wonderful foster from ARPO stepped up to help Daria! She is still very scared in her foster home, but she is getting the love and care she needs to help her come out of her shell. Thank you to the donors of the Last Chance Fund for helping Daria!
