Coop was adopted from IACS and had a scuffle with one of the adopter’s dogs, ending in a fractured leg for Coop. His adopter had his leg surgically repaired (plated) and did seek the advice of a trainer to help with the issues he and her other dog were having. Unfortunately, the two dogs just could not get along, so Coop was surrendered back to the shelter. He still needed several weeks of crate rest, and he had some difficulty being housed in the kennel the first time he was at the shelter. He hated going back to his kennel and became very anxious, jumpy, and mouthy. Coop was put on rescue only and given a “must have rescue by” date. He is a playful boy who loves toys and people. Indy’s Voice for Animals pledged from our Last Chance Fund for this boy because we believed he deserved another chance to find his forever home. Fortunately, Canine Castaways was able to rescue him! He is doing well in his foster home and will be ready for adoption when his leg heals. Thank you to those of you who have supported our Last Chance Fund and helped Coop.
