Cade was surrendered because he is a rambunctious, playful guy and was hard for his owner to handle. His owner said he did not do well with other dogs but was good with the cat he lived with. Poor Cade was very scared at the shelter and growled while in his kennel.  Outside the kennel area, he was a wonderful boy and loved attention.  He was placed on rescue only in the hope a foster-based rescue would find a spot for him outside the shelter environment.  Cade waited weeks with no interest and was eventually given a “must have rescue by” date.  Indy’s Voice for Animals pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help.  Cade’s deadline passed with no rescue commitment.  We didn’t think he was going to make it out, but Four Legged Ranch didn’t give up.  They made room and rescued this boy at the very last minute!  His new name is Cadet, and he is doing well in rescue.  He still isn’t fond of other dogs but is learning to trust new people.  Thank you for donating to our Last Chance Fund and helping Cadet!  If you would like to make a donation to help future animals, please visit https://indysvoice4animals.org/  You can also help when shopping online by using Amazon Smile.  Select move to Act for your charity of choice, and a percentage of your purchase will go to help an animal in need.
