Rubik came to the shelter as a stray when he was around a year old. He is a friendly boy who does well with other dogs, but, unfortunately, he failed the food bowl test. This placed him on the rescue-only list. After waiting a few weeks in the shelter, staff noticed a small mass above his eye that had gotten bigger. Rubik was also developing some barrier aggression from being stressed in the kennel. He was given a “must have rescue by” date. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help Rubik find a rescue. Luckily, Canine Castaways stepped up and rescued him. You can see in his after picture, by how tall and proud he is standing, that he must know he’s on his way to a better life!
