Tica was surrendered by a man who said his ex-girlfriend had dumped her in his yard and left. She has a microchip, but the numbers listed were no longer working. Tica had been at the shelter in 2015 and was said to be a service dog for a teenager. However, she wasn’t comfortable with men at the shelter and was timid in her cage. She was placed on rescue-only in hopes a rescue could help her build confidence and find her the right home. Poor Tica waited a little over three weeks before receiving a “must have rescue by” date. During that time, she became frustrated in her kennel and began to hard-bark at the kennel door. It was obvious the stress of the shelter was getting to her. move to Act pledged from our Last Chance Fund to help a rescue pay for her care.
