The SPCA Tampa Bay 2024 990 tax return has not yet been posted on its website as of the date of this post., With a little searching it can be found.

What does it tell us?  It tells us exactly what we have been sharing in our letters to SPCATB sponsors, donors and readers of this blog.  You need to reconsider your future support for the SPCATB until there is a change in the administration.

Why? Because the administration uses the animal welfare arena as a front for a money-making, self-enrichment enterprise. The falsification of animal data to embellish live outcomes to give the impression of an animal welfare agency has been exposed resulting in the administration removing old reports from the website.

And the 990?

Salaries are the big expense at the SPCATB and always has been.

Salaries for 2023 were greater than $5.2M.

Salaries for 2022 were $4.2M

Salaries for 2021 were$3.3M

Translation: The 2023 salary increase over 2022 was 19%, the 2022 salary increase over 2021 was 27% and the salaries increase over the last 3-year period is a whopping 51%!!

You now know the answer to the question. “Where does the money go”?

Will the board of directors allow this hoax to continue? How much longer will they allow the SPCATB to betray the donors who give in good faith but more importantly the animals who come into the agency alive and leave in a bag?
