Spreading the word about the needs of animals in our community, and recognizing those who help, is vital to making things better. So we’d like to give a special salute to Patty Spitler, a retired Emmy Award-winning TV anchor and entertainment reporter who now volunteers as host and contributor to Pet Pals TV and PetPalsTV.com.
Pet Pals TV showcases stories of the human/animal bond. The format is upbeat and “feel good”, but woven into this fabric are stories of animals in need as a result of abuse, neglect or abandonment. For the animals, and for those whose ministry is to make their lives better, having a celebrity voice with an extensive reach is a valued gift.
Most recently, Patty gave priceless exposure to the animals and organizations connected to mtA’s Rescue Rally for the fourth year in a row.
Patty offers this passionately spoken reminder for our community:
“As we grow as a city, we need to take better care of our pets, too. The eyes are looking at us. Not only is it the right thing to do, but even if you don’t care about pets, it’s the right thing to do for your city.”
Thank you, Patty Spitler!
